In summer, the lake and its surrounding area offer a wide range of activities for all tastes:
- pedal and rowing boats or
- paddle boards,
- walking around the lake or in the protected marshes on the educational path.
In addition, hikers will whatever they want:
- educational paths,
- mountain huts,
- Alpine lakes,
- or hikes lasting several days will enliven your holiday right up to October,
when our forests – which are some of the biggest in Switzerland – are adorned with incredible colours.
Flore-Alpe botanical garden is an enchanting location situated at 1500m above sea level in magnificent Alpine surroundings. Strewn with paths winding between rockeries and little bridges crossing ponds, visitors can enjoy a magnificent, unique panorama over Chaempex Lake and the snowy peaks of the Combin range.
Four thousand species of plants flower over more than 6000 m2, including local flora and that from the neighbouring regions as well as from mountains in Europe and other continents.

Braver souls can sled from La Breya for loads of fun while families can enjoy a stroll with the St-Bernard dogs. Pulled on a sled, children will definitely take home wonderful memories of this walk.
